Marian Carrasquero is a Venezuelan documentary photographer and videographer. She attended Speos Paris Photographic Institute in 2011 and received a professional studio photography certification. Then she received her B.F.A in photography with a minor in creative writing from the Savannah College of Art and Design and attended Eddie Adams Workshop XXVIII in 2015. She is always seeking to immerse herself in long form stories relating to race, gender, immigration and other social issues. Her work has been featured nationally and internationally in The New York Times, NPR, Huffington Post, Gear Patrol Magazine, Aint-Bad, Prodavinci and El Nacional. She is currently based in Berkeley, California where she is getting her masters degree in Journalism from UC Berkeley.
